if it is your whole breast that is swollen and not just a hard lump in one certain area, I would have to say that it is common with teens and also adults to have swollen breasts before their period.
well it could just be a normal lump. that happens sometimes and when it does, it may have to be surjically removed but im not saying a lump is what it is. ask your parents and then try to ask a doctor that can help you. its the most reasonable thing to do becuase if it is bad then you want to handle it ASAP. hope this helps
I believe that your body may be getting ready for your cycle. But, if I were you, I’d share this news with my mom (or another guardian), so that the two of you can decide how to proceed.
before getting your period your hormones do a number on your body. breast tissue is engorged and painful. this is normal. if you feel a lump you should tell your mom and get a doctor to check it out. hope this helps.

A few years ago I had problems liked that. HUGE LUMP. It turned out to be mastitis. It was really odd for me to get it because I was young and never had any kids but I did. HURT LIKE HELL.
I’d talk to your mom…or parent RIGHT AWAY. But don’t be afraid…you are young and its probably hormones. But to ease your mind talk to your mom.
