Tamoxifen is indeed an anti-estrogen agent that we have used for about thirty years to help people with breast cancer. Very useful non-chemotherapy drug.

Speed dog is right tamoxifen is a anti estrogen medication to fight
breast cancer. Novadex is generic name for tamoxifen.
The generic form has only been out a few years. It cost a lot less
than the tamoxifen. So if your onicologest has given you a
perscription for a generic that is the same as the original than
he cares about your finances.

I have never taken Novadex I was alergic to the tamoxifen so
sorry that is all the information I have.
