It would be best to consult your doctor and have a mammogram, if the doctor believes one is warranted. Many women develop fibrocystic breasts. The small lumps are noncancerous. Occasionally the doctor may recommend a breast biopsy to determine if this is the condition a woman has. See this website:

Breast cancer is a disease of mature breast tissue.

The risk of getting it at age 15 is less than the risk of being struck by lightning.

They forgot to mention in your sex-ed class that it is not recommended to start breast self-examinations until age 20.

Developing breasts (at 15 this still includes yours) are frequently lumpy, uneven, tender and hormonal.

If you are concerned talk to your mother, school nurse or family Dr.

At age 15 you are more likely to develop a childhood cancer that just happens to occur in the breast region (rare) than true breast cancer.

80% of breast cancers occur in women over 50, I was considered “young” at 45.
