Up to half of all women who undergo a lumpectomy or mastectomy feel pain weeks or months later near the breast, adjacent armpit and upper arm on the same side. It is often described as burning, throbbing, and/or a sharp pain.

Talk to your doctor. You said you lost your job and insurance have you went to your local Department of Human Services for State insurance?
You could also call your local chapter of Cancer Assoc. They will be able to help you with finding a doctor and getting insurance or help you pay for your doctor visit

I had no insurance at one point and was able to get help from the NY Woman’s Health Partnership in Suffolk County. If you live in any part of NY State go here:http://www.cancer.org/docroot/home/index.asp

Both have access/information for FREE care if you do not have insurance and do not qualify for any local Social Services.
