I don’t think “ochil” is a doctor.
No doctor would randomly suggest tamoxifen not knowing any details of the case.
I am a cancer specialist doctor who has seen many hundreds of women with breast cancer. One out of every six patients I saw over 20 years had breast cancer.
What you ask is an entire chapter in an oncology textbook.
Here’s a good site that should answer your questions.
http://www.medicinenet.com/breast_cancer/article.htm
In 2008 more than 184,000 women in the USA were diagnosed with breast cancer and almost 41,000 women died from breast cancer, so many people are in your situation in the U.S.
There are – unfortunately – some people who lie about being doctors on this very serious site.
Added note, “dlacross” is not correct that chemotherapy is started right away after diagnosis. It depends on the stage of the disease. You need to understand the staging of breast cancer to understand how surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy are coordinated in the care of breast cancer patients. This is quite complicated. Many factors are involved.
breast cancer, along with all cancers, are growths of irregular cells in tissues in the body. They treat it with radiation which are gamma waves that destroy living tissue they pass through. It depends on how long a person may find cancer, it could be just as its forming or after they have died. chemotherapy typically starts as soon as possible after a diagnosis
Hi Im sorry your hurting. I know the pain my step mother and my mother in law both died from bc and I have it but I refuse to give up.
I know how your scared and mad at the same time. You feel abandoned by the people you love. Honey they are not leaving you.
They are being killed by cancer. Cancer is a murder that just does
not end up in a jail. Cancer is not easy to fight for some of us.
we loose body parts we loose our hair and get so sick from chemo and radiation but it still wins and than there are some of us who fight
so hard and refuse to let the cancer win.
Your not alone when you feel alone remember you can always find
some one to talk to in a cancer chat group. Some of us have been
fighting cancer so long till if feels like we grew up with it. As well as
some did. But we all understand how mad and upset you must be.
Sometimes we feel like yelling at the person who is dying but we
don’t want to upset them either. But we feel like they are leaving us.
If the person is a christian and saved and if we are saved we feel that
we will see them again in heaven but if they are not saved and if we
are not saved than we feel hopeless.
Well you still have your mom to hold you hug you when your feeling
sad. And trust me it is hard for her too. All you can do right now is
just Love them.
I am sorry there is no magic words to make it all better. My daughter
Candy grew up worring that she may loose me at any time. I have been
fighting cancer for over 30 years and she is 27 so all of her life she
watched me fight. I hope she has learned that sometimes we have to
fight to live. And I hope she has learned not to give up easly.
So Love with a whole heart.
And wrighting about how you feel and what is happening is a good thing as it will help you and otheres to get over the loss.
