yes. not only is cancer not sexually transmitted…but having babies may actually help prevent you from getting some forms of it, because of lower estrogen levels.

According to some research and heavily pushed pharmaceutical market of Gardisil, the STD HPV is the cause of cervical cancer. Aside from that herpes causes abnormal cell growth. Depends on your definition of sex, the genitalia just has to be exposed to the virus.

Smoking, diet (low in folic acid), genes, and weakened immune system can cause cervical cancer.

The UK seems to have a lot of research on virgins in cancer, according to them, they are at risk for adenocarcinoma still.

Incidents are low, but no exemption for virgins.

Yes for both.
The chance of cervical cancer rises dramatically after sex with someone exposed to Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Most sexually active people have HPV and don’t know it. Virgins can get cervical cancer, but it is much more rare with them; HPV is a big cause of cervical cancer.
Actually, though, with breast cancer, the chances go down for women that have been nursing mothers. Women who have never been pregnant have higher breast cancer rates. Motherhood reduces the risks, and we don’t know why.
It absolutely FRIGHTENS me that every answer prior to mine in this post says that cancer has nothing to do with sex. Have these people not learned anything from the Gardasil commercials? I’d understand that they haven’t read the medical research, as I have, but……kiddo……be careful what advice you follow. These folks are not up on sexually transmitted diseases!

Yes you can absolutely contract breast or cervical cancer without ever having had a child or sex. One has nothing to do with the other. As far as breasts go..self exams every month are crucial in catching a lump early and as soon as a woman starts having a period she should have paps on a yearly basis as a preventative measure against cervical cancer.

P.S. Although it is very rare, men can contract cancer in their chest.

Yes, definiatly! Cervical and breast cancer are not related in any way to your sexual life. No matter what, get regular check ups just in case. You never know, it might save your life!

Yes, of course. I understand that your risk of getting breast cancer decreases if you have breast fed a baby.
